KUALA LUMPUR: A motorist remanded for allegedly intimidating road users and driving recklessly on the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Expressway has been released on bail.
Selangor Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Supt Azman Shariat said the suspect was released yesterday evening after posting bail.
He said police would soon submit their investigation papers to the deputy public prosecutor.
Police had remanded the 43-year-old motorist for driving a multi-purpose vehicle recklessly, using the emergency lane to overtake, and intimidating other road users by repeatedly braking his vehicle between KM25.1 and KM27.5 of the expressway.
His road menace was caught on a dashcam video which went viral.
Police arrested the driver on Sunday and he actually had 56 outstanding traffic summonses.
