KUALA LUMPUR: Emico Holdings Bhd is the most actively traded counter on Bursa Malaysia in early trade Monday with over 50 million shares done.
The awards and trophy components manufacturer rose 25.68%, or 9.5 sen to 46 sen at 9.10am. It has risen 61.4% so far this year.
A check on previous filings by the group indicated no recent corporate developments that might have contributed to the sudden interest in the counter.
In the fourth quarter ended March 31, Emico posted a net loss of RM802,000 against a net profit of RM126,000 a year ago.
Its revenue for the quarter fell 36.3% to RM7.32mil from RM11.48mil posted in the same quarter last year.
For the full financial year, Emico posted a net loss of RM2.54mil on revenue of RM34.04mil.
