KUALA LUMPUR: Iskandar Waterfront Holdings has appointed Tan Sri Shahril Ridza Ridzuan as its independent non-executive chairman, effective May 18, 2022.

       Shahril, 52, has formerly held various top posts including managing director of Khazanah Nasional and CEO of the Employees Provident Fund.

       Prior to that, he also served as managing director of Malaysian Resources Corporation Bhd (MRCB), where he was instrumental in developing KL Sentral, a successful Transit-Oriented Development in the heart of Kuala Lumpur

       Shahril is currently the Independent Non-Executive Chairman for Axiata Group Bhd.

       Presently, he is also a non-executive director of Malaysia Airlines Bhd (MAB) and Malaysia Aviation Group Bhd, where he chairs the board nomination and remuneration committee.

       "We are very happy to welcome Shahril. His credentials are superb, with an outstanding track record as a corporate leader. He is a prefect fit as the chairman of the board and will take us to a greater height," said Iskandar Waterfront executive vice-chairman and major shareholder Tan Sri Lim Kang Hoo in a statement.
