SUBANG JAYA: Police here have arrested a suspect implicated in the murder-robbery on Friday (March 11) in Puchong Prima.

       "The suspect was arrested at 6.10pm yesterday in front of the Seksyen 20 Maybank," said Subang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Abd Khalid Othman when contacted.

       "A pistol, several bullets and some sum of the suspected stolen cash were seized as well.

       "With the arrest of the suspect we believe we have solved several robberies within the Shah Alam and Subang Jaya area," he said, adding that the suspect has been remanded for seven days.

       On Friday a security guard was shot dead during a robbery in front of the Hong Leong Bank in Taman Puchong Prima. Another guard was injured during the robbery.

       The suspect had robbed a security van that was transporting money.

       A press conference on the matter is due to be held at 1.30pm on Saturday (March 12) at the state police headquarters.
