MAPUTO (Reuters) - Mozambique President Filipe Nyusi fired Prime Minister Carlos Agostinho do Rosário on Thursday, a presidency statement said, in what appeared to be a major cabinet reshuffle following the sacking of six ministers on Wednesday.
The Portuguese-language statement did not give a reason for the dismissal of the premier, nor announce any new appointments or give indications on when the vacant posts would be filled.
The Deputy Minister of Health, Lidia Cardoso, was also dismissed, the statement added.
On Wednesday, Nyusi fires six ministers, including the finance and economy ministers and the mineral resources and energy minister.
