PETALING JAYA: Majuperak Holdings Bhd has launched its SilverVax vaccination programme in Perak with 200,000 Covid-19 vaccine doses expected to be made available to targeted groups, namely the private sector and state government-linked companies (GLCs).
The property and construction group was appointed by the Perak state government. Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Perak (PKNP) through Majuperak in partnership with Hospital Ar-Ridzuan, will facilitate the distribution of vaccines to targeted groups in the state.In a statement yesterday,
Majuperak said it started its SilverVax vaccination programme on Aug 2 and it received positive response as at to-date with about 300 private companies across the state having registered to procure and provide vaccines for their workforce and family members since applications were opened on July 23 this year.
“The vaccinations are now being administered at Hospital Ar-Ridzuan in Ipoh and will be made available at other vaccination centres soon at RM388 per person for two doses,” it added.
Majuperak group chief executive officer Nizran Noordin (pic) said in tandem with ensuring the sustainable growth of the group, it is honoured to do its part in contributing to the well-being of the community by driving this vaccination programme for Perak.
“This undertaking is integral for the state to enable us to achieve herd immunity and support continued economic growth.
“Through the SilverVax Programme, we aim to fully vaccinate 100,000 Perakians by end of this year with two doses each, depending on the demand by clients that are willing to pay their staff,” he added.
Majuperak said it was recently appointed by Pharmaniaga Bhd for the supply of the Sinovac Covid-19 vaccine in Perak.
Currently, it is also negotiating with Duopharma Biotech Bhd for the distribution of Sinopharm vaccines together with its healthcare organiser, EB Holdings Sdn Bhd, the statement said.
