KOTA KINABALU: Disruptions to water supply in Sabah have reached a “crisis level”, claims Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin (pic).
He said that based on the current situation, supply disruptions had been occurring in almost all districts in the state, including urban areas like Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan, Tawau and Lahad Datu.
“Even my house has no water. So imagine, in Sandakan, there is no water; in Kota Kinabalu there is no water; in the villages, there is no water,” said the state Works Minister.
“For me, this is not a problem but a crisis that needs to be addressed quickly,” he said at his Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house in Kinabatangan over the weekend.
However, Bung Moktar gave an assurance that plans are being drawn up to address the disruptions.
