Hundreds of schools have closed their gates again as the UK continues to be gripped by freezing temperatures, snow and ice.
Met Office yellow weather warnings have been in force for snow, ice and fog a day after pupils were told to stay at home on Wednesday (January 8).
Primaries and secondaries have been listed as closed by local authorities across the UK again today (January 9). Numbers for those which have closed are listed below according to local authorities.
Not every council lists school closures, so if you are unsure if your child's school is shut you can check on the Government's website here. Express.co.uk will update this list as and when new information on school closures is announced.
Many schools will contact parents, carers and guardians directly to inform them of any closures, some of which are partial. This often means some year groups are in school while others aren't. Some schools have also introduced delayed starts.
Below are the local authorites which have listed full or partical school closures today (January 9).
