KUWAIT CITY, May 26: In a recent development, sources within the Public Authority for Manpower have disclosed to Al-Anbaa details regarding a project aimed at amending the decision determining the proportion of national workers within non-governmental agencies. The proposed amendments are currently under study, with the intent to enhance compliance among companies in employing national workers and alleviate pressure on the government sector.
The sources elucidated that the primary objective behind introducing these amendments is to incentivize companies to adhere to the prescribed proportions of national workers in their employment structures. By doing so, the initiative not only fosters job creation opportunities for citizens seeking employment within the private sector but also serves to ease the burden on the government workforce.
Furthermore, it was emphasized that the proposed amendments are poised to play a crucial role in encouraging Kuwaiti youth to pursue career opportunities within the private sector. This strategic move aligns with the overarching goal of diversifying the national workforce and promoting economic growth.
In addition to fostering a conducive environment for national labor support, the Public Authority for Manpower continues to receive requests for social allowances and children’s allowances. However, eligibility for these benefits is contingent upon fulfilling specific criteria, including obtaining licenses for micro-activities or engaging in specialized fields of work. Moreover, applicants must adhere to regulatory requirements outlined in Chapter Five, “Employer,” or Chapter Three, “Employment,” of the pertinent regulations.
