Brexit minister Lord Frost and European Commission vicepresident Maros Sefcovic met in London to work out how to reform the post-Brexit deal yesterday.

       But while Brussels called its proposals for reducing checks and red tape "unprecedented and far-reaching", London rejected them as the EU insists on keeping the European Court of Justice as an authority over disputes.

       The UK, which wants to reach a solution by December, said the proposals do not go to the "extent necessary for a durable solution".
