KOTA KINABALU: All drivers of public transportation in the state and staff of the companies, as well as passengers, are required to be fully vaccinated starting Sept 16.

       Sabah Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said public transportation services cover stage buses, school buses, taxis and e-hailing services.

       "This ruling will be strictly enforced from Sept 16.

       "It is an addition to the existing regulations in the current standard operating procedures, which include physical distancing inside the public vehicle and wearing of face masks," he said in an update on Covid-19 in Sabah on Monday (Sept 6).

       Masidi also issued a reminder that buses were only allowed to operate at 50% passenger capacity while taxis and e-hailing services had a two-person limit including the driver.
