A MAN has been arrested after allegedly trying to kill his neighbour by pumping poisonous gas through a hole drilled in his home.
Italian cops arrested the 63-year-old ''neighbour from hell'' in the town of Bianze in the northern Italian province of Vercelli for attempted murder.

The bizarre incident allegedly saw the homeowner return from shopping before he noticed a strong smell of gas.
After making sure the boiler and the pipes weren't damaged, the man is said to have discovered a rubber tube poking out of a small hole that fed through to a gas cylinder.
He called the fire brigade, who sealed off the area, and the police launched an investigation.
As part of the probe, cops arrested the man's neighbour on August 23.
The neighbours had unresolved differences, Italian media report.
A court granted authorities the power to detain the 63-year-old as a preventative measure as the investigations continues.
