A STUDENT nurse says she would rather be in prison after being left "starving and begging for water" at a Spanish quarantine hotel.
Sophie Burdge was made to isolate after testing positive for Covid at the airport in Majorca when she was due to fly home.

The 22-year-old, who had enjoyed a week on the island with a pal after losing her partner, then checked into the Hotel Palma Bellver to quarantine.
But Sophie, from Barry, Wales, claims she has been forced to "beg for water" and says guests are having to pass supplies between rooms using bedsheets.
She told the BBC: "On my first night, I got there, and I had no water. I was thinking, 'I know I'm hungry, but water is more important'.
"I was ringing and ringing and ringing asking and begging for water, I think I was crying at one point for water."
'I WAS CRYING MY EYES OUT'
Sophie tested positive on Tuesday but says she was not picked up and taken to the hotel until 24 hours after the initial result.
She claims when she arrived, staff told her she couldn't have any food as she had got there too late.
Sophie said she decided to order a McDonald's the next day for lunch but claims this was confiscated as it is processed food.
She said: "I tried ordering again from a different company, and they didn't give me that either.
"I was crying my eyes out because I was so hungry, I was starving."
The student says other quarantining guests are now getting delivery drivers to send up food using bedsheets as a pulley system.
AMBER ALERT
She is now running out of mental health medication in her ten-day quarantine.
Sophie is also having to wash her underwear in the sink after she was left with no clean clothes.
Spain is currently on the UK's amber list, which means double-jabbed Brits have to take a Covid test before they return home.
If they are positive, holidaymakers must isolate for ten days before flying to the UK - often in a quarantine hotel.
Anyone who gets a negative test result can return home as normal and not isolate if they have received both vaccines.

Hotel Palma Bellver said: "The operation is sanitary (more similar to that of a hospital than to that of a hotel), and therefore the meals (four a day) are served by the hospital catering, supervised by hospital dietitians.
"The guests/patients are allowed to order meals outside, (as well as other basic supplies) but not processed food, as per the doctor's prescription.
"The staff of our company only manages the inventory of rooms, we respond to the client-patient, and we serve as a 'connecting link' between the various agents involved."
