KOTA KINABALU: A man dressed as “White Ranger” from the legendary super hero series - Power Rangers - turned up at the Kg Kobuni vaccination centre near here to pump up the spirits of frontliners on Monday (Aug 23).
Feddy Wong, 42, strutted into the centre, bringing a much lighter air to the hot and mundane mood.
“I just want to bring some joy and cheer to all our frontliners, who have been working tirelessly since the start of the pandemic last year,” he said.
“At the same time, I also wish to tell people that it is safe and important to get themselves inoculated against Covid-19,” he said.
Wong has received full doses of his vaccine recently.
He said though the vaccination does not guarantee a 100% immunity against the virus, it does help lower the risk of contracting Covid-19 or even suffering severe complications from it.
“Getting inoculated also helps us protect not only ourselves, but our loved ones too.
“Let us all come together to get vaccinated and register for vaccination for the sake of our loved ones, and this country,” Wong added.
During his appearance at the centre, many took the chance to take a selfie with him, with SOPs in place.
The momentary fun activity brought much joy to those at the scene.
Wong is known to go to official events such as voting centres during elections in his Power Rangers costume, among others.
