PETALING JAYA: Those suffering from depression or problems such as the lack of food or funds can contact Selangor police for assistance.

       Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Arjunaidi said they could also call any police station for help.

       "We will facilitate it so that they are given the necessary aid by the relevant agencies such as the Welfare Department as well as counselling.

       "As members of society, it is our duty to help those in need," he said in an interview with a media portal on Friday (July 2).

       He was commenting on the current White Flag Campaign on social media urging people to get assistance by placing a white flag at their homes.

       "I have also instructed all police station chiefs and personnel to identify those with problems such as the shortage of food.

       'We will identify and connect them with agencies such as the Welfare Department or Lembaga Zakat," he said.
