A WOMAN has described the moment her glass shower screen exploded like it had been shot by a gun.
Carrissa Vevar can't "bear to think" how her kids could have been injured if they were inside the shower when the glass smashed in her Cheshire home en-suite on December 19.

She was with her kids in the home's main bathroom brushing her teeth when she heard an "almighty bang".
Taking to Facebook, she vented: "[It] literally sounded like someone had just fired a gun in our house, we went to investigate."
She went into the bathroom to find tiny pieces of glass scattered across the floor.
Carrissa says: "There was actually holes and glass stuck into the walls and woodwork in the bathroom from the force of the glass explosion.
"I just can not believe how unbelievably lucky it was that no one was in there at the time, actually having nightmares about what could of happened."
She explained the family pet Jelly sleeps in there 70 percent of the day and by a stroke of luck was asleep on her bed when it happened "which is a rarity"
"What the actual hell went on, I still don't get it."
She says the bathroom was installed by Victorian Plumbing.

She said: "I can’t even bear to think right now what would of happened if my kids were in there at the time of the glass explosion.
"It sounded like someone shot the glass with a gun, horrendous."
Victorian Plumbing told The Sentinel the company was "sorry" to hear about the shower screen breaking but offered a reassurance its screens are made from toughened safety glass.
The spokeswoman said: "Whilst the experience might have given a fright, the glass on this product has performed as expected following a stress or impact event.
"This can often happen days or weeks after any impact, where the glass is then subject to any changes in heat.
"Rather than breaking into sharp heavy shards, the glass crumbles into small cubes, significantly reducing the likelihood of any serious injury."
Victorian Plumbing will be contacting Carrissa to put things right.
The spokeswoman said: "We pride ourselves on leaving our customers with the best possible experience and whilst this isn’t a manufacturer’s fault – we’re keen to put things right."
Friends who saw the post were immediately sympathetic while others shared their own experiences.
One person wrote: "Omg thank God you weren't in there."
Another said: "Oh my goodness, I've heard of this happening" while another commented: "This happened to our en-suite in the middle of the night. We thought someone had broken in".
