       KUWAIT CITY, Jul 8: The Municipal Council, led by Abdullah Al-Mahri, approved the Ministry of Finance’s request to reallocate the zoo site in Al-Omariya, Block 1, covering 106,286.5 square meters. This site was transferred to the Ministry of Finance – the State Treasury – as an in-kind payment for the actuarial deficit in favor of the General Organization for Social Insurance. Any changes in the site’s use will require resubmission to the Municipal Council.

       The council also granted law firms up to one year, starting June 30, to adjust their status in private housing. Additionally, the Municipal Council approved the Ministry of Finance’s request to transfer the Entertainment City project site from the Amiri Diwan to the Public Investment Authority. It also approved reallocating the Shagaya Renewable Energy Complex land from the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research to the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy.
