KUALA LUMPUR: Toyo Ventures Holdings Bhd, which was slapped with an unusual market activity (UMA) query by Bursa Malaysia earlier, said it is unaware of any reason for the sharp rise in its share price and volume recently.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Toyo Ventures said it is unaware of any rumour or report concerning the business and affairs of the group that may account for the trading activity.
“The board is not aware of any corporate developments relating to the group’s business and affairs that has not been previously announced that may account for the trading activity including in the stage of negotiation/discussion,” it said.
Toyo Ventures closed eight sen or 11.94% higher at 75 sen. In the past five trading sessions, the counter has appreciated 44.23%, or 23 sen.
