Princess Charlene, 43, has spent the last few months in her native South Africa after coming down with a severe sinus infection and undergoing subsequent operations. Reports claim Charlene, who won a swimming silver medal for South Africa at the 2002 Commonwealth Games, underwent a four-hour operation in August.

During her stint in South Africa, which started in May, Charlene has missed out on marking her 10th wedding anniversary to Prince Albert, 63, and seeing her 6-year-old twins, Princess Gabriella and Prince Jacques, have their first day at school.

But speaking to RMC radio, Albert confirmed his wife would soon return to the European principality.

The Prince said Charlene "is still in South Africa but will be back very soon" and claimed "we have to talk to the doctors in a few days".

"She is better, although it has been very complicated for her because she has suffered different problems," added Albert.

Before her husband's appearance on RMC, Princess Charlene shared a post on her Instagram page over the weekend.

It was the first photo shared by the consort since she was discharged from hospital last month.

       The caption read: "God Bless."

Albert was spotted as one of the guests in attendance at the premiere of the 25th instalment of the James Bond franchise 'No Time to Die' in Monte Carlo on Wednesday.

He was joined by the 63-year-old American actress Sharon Stone.

Albert has recently suggested Charlene will return to Monaco this month.

However, while Charlene has been in South Africa since May, she has seen her family during a visit in August.

Albert, Jacques and Gabriella made the 5,205 mile trip from Monaco to South Africa to see Charlene.
