PETALING JAYA: Court proceedings for criminal cases are allowed to operate during the First Phase of the National Recovery Plan (NRP), except in enhanced movement control order areas, says Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

       The Senior Minister said that proceedings for civil cases, including tribunal cases, are allowed to operate online including in enhanced MCO areas.

       He also said that the National Security Council allowed offices of Commissioners for Oaths to operate during Phase One of the NRP, except in enhanced MCO areas.

       He said this was decided as the offices play an important support role in the real estate and banking sectors, as well as operations involving contracts and transactions.

       The Defence Minister said this in a statement Friday (July 2).
