KUALA LUMPUR: The search and rescue (SAR) mission for another victim who is feared to have been swept away by river currents near a resort's chalet in Bentong, Pahang on Dec 18 continues, says the Genting Highlands Fire and Rescue Department.
A spokesperson said on Monday (Dec 27) that the effort will continue until the victim is found, adding that the mission is now focused on the forest edge near the Karak Highway towards Kuala Lumpur.
More than 30 people, including nine children, faced anxious moments when they were stranded in a mud flood while visiting a chalet area in Bentong, Pahang, on Dec 18.
Following that, a child known as Emmanuel Chang as well as a couple, Bobby and Yap, were reported missing in the tragedy.
So far, two bodies have been found, namely a woman identified as Yap Koon Lau and a boy. - Bernama.
