HULU SELANGOR: The man who was found dead in a restaurant here had a history of heart disease, say the police.
Responding to a viral message that claimed that the man had died shortly after receiving his Covid-19 booster jab, Hulu Selangor OCPD Supt Arsad Kamaruddin said that the 54-year-old man’s family confirmed his medical history.
“At around 7am today (Jan 19), the police received word from a worker at the Salam Sentosa restaurant about the victim who was unconscious.
“The deceased’s wife confirmed that he had a history of heart disease and high blood pressure in the last five years and he was still receiving treatment at Selayang Hospital.
“A Covid-19 test was negative and the attending doctor confirmed the cause of death as from a coronary artery disease.
“Preliminary investigations show no signs of foul play and the case has been classified as sudden death,” he said.
He also urged the people not to speculate on the man’s death.
