SUBANG JAYA: A restaurant worker was attacked recently after refusing to change the song being played inside an eatery in Subang Jaya and a video clip of the incident subsequently went viral on social media.

       Subang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Abd Khalid Othman, when contacted, confirmed the incident and said the assailant had been drinking alcohol when it happened on March 13.

       "A worker at a restaurant in Jalan SS15/5 was approached by the suspect and told to put on a different song. However, the worker informed him that the songs being played could not be changed because it had been pre-set.

       "The suspect became angry and scolded the worker, a foreigner, before slapping him on the left cheek. At the same time, the suspect's friend, who was also there at the time, left the restaurant after settling the bill," he said.

       A police report was lodged on the incident March 15 and the police are still investigating the matter.
