Dr Wee was reappointed as Transport Minister, Mah (Deputy Education Minister), Lim (Deputy International Trade and Industry Minister), Ti (Deputy Youth and Sports Minister) and Jeck Seng (Deputy Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister).
"With the Covid-19 pandemic ravaging the world and Malaysia, the health and livelihoods of the rakyat are under severe threat. To MCA, the appointments carry grave responsibilities and serious challenges in leading Malaysia out of these difficult times," said the party in a statement on Friday.
It added that the party hoped the new Cabinet would be able to resolve both the pandemic and economic troubles plaguing Malaysia.
"From the point of appointment onwards, there is no time to tarry. MCA's Cabinet appointees pledge to go all out and do their best to serve the rakyat in the spirit of the 'Keluarga Malaysia', the aspiration by the new Prime Minister that all Malaysians work together and look out for each other in these tough times," it said.
"Leading the country out of the pandemic as quickly as possible shall be the main priority," said MCA, pledging that its ministers would work closely with their Cabinet colleagues to focus on fighting Covid-19, revitalise the Malaysian economy, while protecting the rakyat.
