JOHOR BARU: As a reward for bagging the Dutch International 2022 title, the Johor government will present RM10,000 to national single’s shuttler Myisha Khairul.
Mentri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi congratulated the 19-year-old on her achievement in a Facebook post on Sunday (April 17).
"The whole Johor is happy and proud of her as the Myisha I know has always been committed and hardworking to achieve results.
"The state has decided to give her RM10,000 as a reward, as her achievement has uplifted the state and country’s names.
"I hope this encourages other young Johor athletes to take the state and nation to greater heights in the international arena," said Onn Hafiz, who is also former Johor tourism, youth and sports committee chairman.
The Johor Baru-born Myisha captured her first senior title beating compatriot Siti Nurshuhaini Azman 21-19, 18-21, 21-19 to win the women’s singles title in the Netherlands on Saturday (April 16).
