PETALING JAYA: Calling all students - supercharge your pursuit of knowledge and catch up with the latest news from The Star for less than 10 sen a day!

       For just RM30 a year, students can enjoy affordable daily access to hundreds of news, features, videos, interactive graphics, and more upon subscribing to Star Media Group’s (SMG) Digital Access Standard Plan via the Student Promo.

       Apart from highly subsidising the subscription plan to benefit students, SMG is also going the extra mile in its effort to inculcate the reading habit among the younger generation.

       With the Inter-University Reading Challenge, great prizes await students who subscribe under the Student Promo.

       To participate, students just need to read articles from TheStar.com.my!

       The universities, colleges and/or students with the highest accumulated reading will be rewarded for their efforts.

       These actions earn one point each: Completely reading one story page, successfully sharing one story, and visiting once a day. Read and share as much as you can to rack up the points!

       A nationwide scoreboard will track the reading engagement level for each participating university, college and student.

       To celebrate the educational institutions with the most avid news readers under the University category, the top three schools will receive video coverage and a write-up featured on TheStar.com.my and our newspaper.

       Under the Student category, the first prize will see a total of 50 winners (five each from the top 10 schools) receiving a RM200 Shopee voucher each.

       The second prize, which is valid for the top 120 students on the leaderboard by the end of the challenge, is a Yoodo SIM pack worth RM50 each.

       The bonus prize will see three students receiving a RM200 voucher each for any instructor-led course at Redbeat Academy, AirAsia’s on-demand learning platform.

       The challenge ends November 30, 2021.
