KOTA KINABALU: A policeman died after the motorcycle he was riding crashed into the rear of a lorry along the Kota Kinabalu-Papar road near Lok Kawi army camp here.

       Kpl Rozlan Shahruddin Abd Ajik, 35, died at the scene of the accident which occurred at 11.55pm on Saturday (Sept 11).

       It was learned that Rozlan, attached to the Putatan police station, was on his way home to Kampung Segindai in Kimarut.

       He was a bachelor.

       Penampang OCPD Deputy Supt Mohd Haris Ibrahim, who was at the scene, said on Sunday (Sept 12) that investigations were being carried out under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

       DSP Haris said Rozlan was a good policeman and his death would be felt by everyone in the district police.
