       From the outside the mid-terrace property looks like a quaint, well-kept country home.

       But the clue in the property listing is that it reads: “In need of extensive renovation.”

       For a start, the ceiling is caving in the living room and in one of the bedrooms.

       The bed is propped up against the wall revealing stains on the carpet.

       There are piles of clothes, books and rubbish littered throughout the house and big bags in the bathroom.

       The listing continues: “To the rear there is an enclosed garden with a hardstanding path leading to a gate.

       “Detached garage with side access, metal up and over door to a private parking area for one car accessed off a rear lane.”
