COSMETICS millionaire Datuk Seri Vida (pic) surprised her ex-fiance at 3am by bringing over a ring, Kosmo! reported.

Ahmad Iqbal Zulkefli, who was her former assistant, said he was surprised by the visit as they last contacted each other in September.

“I don’t know how she found my address. I welcomed her even though my emotions were not in the best state.

“She left me a ring but I will not wear it,” he said via a story on his Instagram.

Ahmad Iqbal said he would return the ring.

Puzzled by how she had managed to enter the compound, Ahmad Iqbal said he was livid that the security guard had allowed someone in without notifying him.

“There are two checkpoints before entering my housing area. Only card holders are allowed in and normally, the guards will call first to inform us of any visitor,” he said.

The businesswoman, whose real name is Hasmiza Othman, was due to marry her former assistant but the plan fell apart.

       > A man in Kedah who was contemplating suicide changed his mind midway after the fire that he started became too hot to bear, Harian Metro reported.

Kulim OCPD Supt Sazali Adam said the man had been depressed after being accused by a colleague of stealing money to buy drugs.

He then proceeded to burn a lorry and a hut used by herders in Junjong.

However, he aborted his plan after the heat from the burning hut became unbearable.

A manager noticed the burning hut and lorry and rushed to the scene. The man was then handed over to the police after he confessed to starting the fire.
