Senior members of the Royal Family are often spotted smiling at engagements, or waving to flashing cameras or at crowds of people gathered to see them. Experts at ExpressDentist.com conducted a study to find out which British Royal Family member has the most attractive smile, and their study included the likes of Prince Harry, Prince Charles, Prince Edward, and of course, Her Majesty the Queen.

Many may be surprised that Meghan Markle and Kate, Duchess of Cambridge didn’t scoop the top spot of their rankings for best smile though.

According to their study, Princess Beatrice takes the crown for the British royal member with the most attractive smile, while Meghan beats Kate when it comes to smile attractiveness

Princess Beatrice, 33, should be all smiles after giving birth to her first child, a girl, on Saturday, September 18.

According to their findings, the new mother - whose royal baby is 11th in line to the throne and the Queen's 12th great-grandchild - scored a whopping 9.09/10 for the golden ratio of her smile and whiteness of teeth.

Following her in second place, is her sister, Princess Eugenie, with a score of 7.27/10, while Meghan beats Kate to the third spot with a score of 6.82/10.

The Duchess of Cambridge scored 5.91/10 putting her in fourth place, ahead of her husband Prince William with a score of 5.45/10, who ranks above his brother Prince Harry by approximately 2 points.

Future monarch Prince Charles took the sixth spot in the ranking scoring 4.09/10 when it comes to the attractiveness of his smile, while his son Prince Harry and his sibling Princess Anne are joint for the seventh spot scoring 3.63/10.

Queen Elizabeth II only scored 2.72/10 based on her smile and whiteness of her teeth in the findings, putting her in ninth place.

While the tenth place spot goes to her youngest child, Prince Edward, with a score of 1.36/10.

The researchers gathered a list of Royal Family members and sampled images of them smiling.

Royals were also provided a whiteness ranking for their teeth based on RGB colour code estimates.

The dental experts then calculated a normalised rank for each Royal Family member based on both the golden ratio approximation and the teeth whiteness rating.

It comes after another study ranked royals using a computer vision algorithm to approximate the geometric golden ratio of each royal member’s smile.

The term “Golden Ratio” refers to an Ancient Greek theorem, which is used to determine “physical perfection” by comparing the symmetry of facial features.

In the study Dr Julian De Silva, Head of the Centre For Advanced Facial Cosmetic & Plastic Surgery in London found Meghan ranked higher than Kate.

According to the study, Duchess of Sussex had a 87.7 percent rating on the Golden Ratio.

The cosmetic doctor highlighted the Duchess’ nose width and length as her best feature, with a rating of 98.5 percent.

Meanwhile Kate was given a 86.62 percent rating using the Golden Ratio analysis with the Duchess of Cambridge's nose base and lip width being labelled as her best features.

Royal smiles will be on show tonight as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are set to attend the premiere for the latest James Bond film No Time to Die this evening, along with Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.

The occasion marks a rare joint engagement for the four royals, who will walk the red carpet at the Royal Albert Hall alongside film stars such as Daniel Craig and Rami Malek.

The royals have a noteworthy link to the industry with Prince Charles being patron of the British Film Institute, while his son Prince William is president of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (Bafta).

The two couples were last seen meeting in public at the G7 Summit in Cornwall in June, where Queen Elizabeth II was also in attendance.

Elsewhere, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have returned home to their California residence following a three-day excursion in New York City.

The pair completed a number of public appearances including a trip to the One World Trade Centre, and a visit to a school in Harlem where Meghan read her children’s book The Bench to students aged seven and eight.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex also gave a speech at Global Citizen Live, a 24-hour global broadcast on Saturday.

The couple urged first world countries to donate one billion doses of COVID-19 vaccines to developing countries during their address from New York’s Central Park.
