Prince William's relationship with his brother Prince Harry has been strained since the fallout from Megxit in January 2020, with a royal expert claiming that the brothers need to rebuild trust. Although reports have said the pair have made conversation since Prince Harry's return, William is cautious about his words being "megaphoned" in later interviews.

       Royal commentator Rupert Bell said, "It appears, so they say, that the brothers have been talking about the football the other night and have been having normal, brotherly conversations.

       "Clearly, what is at the heart of it is William, when he talks to his brother, doesn't want to suddenly find it megaphoned across America.

       "That is the problem and that is the trust he's got to rebuild with his brother and if he can do that and trust his brother.

       "He hopes he can but at the moment that trust is on very thin ground and this will just be a building block."

       Prince Harry returned to the UK last Friday and isolated at Frogmore Cottage for five days.

       The two brothers are set to reunite this afternoon to unveil a statue to commemorate what would have been Princess Diana's 60th birthday.

       Designed by British sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley, the statue will be unveiled in the Sunken Garden of Kensington Palace.

       The location was known as Diana's favourite spot at the Palace whilst she lived there.

       Honouring her legacy is important to both William and Harry, and they have often spoken about the impact of her charitable work.

       The unveiling ceremony will mark the first time the two brothers have publicly reunited since the funeral of Prince Philip in April.

       Relations between the two have been strained since Harry and Meghan announced their intention to step back from the Royal Family in January 2020.

       Their relationship further deteriorated after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex conducted a tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey, which detailed their reasons for leaving Britain.

       The couple attacked both the monarchy as an institution and members of the Royal Family.

       Prince Harry characterised his relationship with Prince William as "space" and said his brother was "trapped" in the institution.

       Although the brothers displayed a united front at their grandfather's funeral, reconciliatory talks behind closed doors were reportedly unproductive.
