Johor Ruler confers state awards on eight

       JOHOR BARU: Johor Ruler Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar has conferred state awards upon eight individuals in conjunction with His Majesty’s recent birthday celebrations.

       Sultan Ibrahim conferred the Darjah Sultan Ibrahim Johor Yang Amat Disanjungi Pangkat Yang Kedua, Dato' Mulia Sultan Ibrahim Johor (DMIJ) which carries the title Datuk on three individuals.

       They are Johor legal adviser Amir Nasruddin, state police chief Comm Datuk Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay, and former Malaysia ambassador to Bahrain Agus Salim Yusof.

       Kota Tinggi district officer Hazlina Jalil was also conferred with the DMIJ, which carries the title Datin Paduka.

       According to a statement posted on Sultan Ibrahim’s official Facebook page, the ceremony was held at Balai Mengadap in Istana Bukit Serene here on Monday (Nov 29).

       Also present was Tunku Mahkota Johor Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim.

       Sultan Ibrahim also conferred the Darjah Sultan Ibrahim Johor Yang Amat Disanjungi Pangkat Ketiga Setia Mulia Sultan Ibrahim Johor (SIJ) upon four individuals.

       They are Tangkak district officer Mohammed Shakib Ali, state Works Department director Abu Bakar Abd Aziz, state Statistics Department director Wan Mohd Shahrulnizam Wan Mohd Najuri, and Johor Islamic Religious Department family development division chief assistant director Maimunah Othman.
