DPM: Prioritise personal and family well-being when travelling

       KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysians, particularly the Muslims gearing up for Hari Raya Aidilfitri, should prioritise personal and family safety while travelling home for the festival, says Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

       In a Facebook post yesterday, the Deputy Prime Minister reminded the public of the importance of being well- prepared ahead of their journeys, including ensuring their vehicles are given meticulous maintenance.

       “I hope that everyone, in the excitement of reuniting with their parents and relatives, does not forget our personal and family safety.

       “Make sure you’ve completed all necessary preparations, such as vehicle maintenance and travel planning.

       “Drive responsibly and cautiously, and stop for a break when necessary,” he wrote, Bernama reported.

       Ahmad Zahid also expressed his hope for this year’s Hari Raya Aidilfitri to be a joyous and happy celebration for all Muslims partaking in this festive occasion.
