Car salesman Jack Oliver, ranked the world’s 19,366th best poker player, has landed £2.5million in the final of the game’s top event
Arsenal fan Jack, who quit a job at Jaguar Land Rover to focus on poker, beat more than 6,000 players to reach the final and was chasing a £6million jackpot.
The high roller, of Winchester, Hants, said: “It was like my local casino. But I was up against the most famous players in the world.
“When I eventually did get knocked out, it was a huge let-down even though I had won more than £2million.”
He added the first thing he would do was tell his dad — as he had not even mentioned he was playing in Vegas.
