PETALING JAYA: As of noon Saturday (Oct 16), water supply had resumed to some 99.5% of the 998 areas affected by a scheduled water cut, says Pengurusan Air Selangor Bhd.
The water concessionaire said water had resumed completely to seven districts - Hulu Selangor, Kuala Langat, Shah Alam, Kuala Selangor, Petaling, Gombak and Kuala Lumpur - by noon Saturday.
Air Selangor also said that as of noon Saturday, the water supply has been restored to 95.6% of the affected areas in Klang.
Localities still facing water cuts are Meru, Aman Perdana, Kapar, Bandar Baru Bukit Raja and Kampung Pulau Indah, Air Selangor said in a statement Saturday afternoon.
The scheduled water cut affected 988 areas following the upgrading and maintenance works for critical assets at Sungai Selangor Phase 1 Water Treatment Plant on Wednesday (Oct 13).
