PETALING JAYA: A total of 276,905 people received their first dose of Covid-19 vaccines on Thursday (July 16) and 128,858 people got their second dose.

In two tweets on Saturday (July 17), the Special Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV) said 406,763 doses were administered on Friday, which the total number of doses administered in Malaysia to 13,621,884.

So far, 9,317,144 individuals have received their first dose while 4,304,740 have been fully vaccinated.

This means about 13.2% of Malaysia's 32.7 million people have been fully vaccinated as of July 16, based on population figures published by the Malaysian Statistics Department in the previous census.

However, the census population figure does not include foreign residents and workers who were also vaccinated.
