KOTA KINABALU: Sabah recorded 63 new Covid-19 cases on Saturday (April 16), the lowest daily figure since May 17 last year.
State Covid-19 spokesman Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said that it was the second time this week the state recorded less than 100 new cases.
He said the overall situation in the state was under control and stable by taking into account the statistics of the number of daily infections.
For Saturday, Masidi said 12 districts recorded a decrease in new infections, nine districts recorded an increase in cases and six districts remained unchanged.
Kota Kinabalu was the only district in Sabah to record double-digit new infections with 12 cases, down from 21 cases the previous day, Masidi said.
A total of 14 districts recorded single-digit cases with 11 of the districts registering new infections between 1 to 5 cases only.
There were no new cases of infection in the other 12 districts - Tambunan, Beluran, Telupid, Ranau, Kinabatangan, Kunak, Nabawan, Sipitang, Pitas, Tenom, Tongod and Kalabakan.
