PETALING JAYA: A 45-second video clip allegedly posted by a group of Malaysian students trapped in Ukraine is fake, says the Foreign Ministry.

       "Based on inquiries and verification efforts undertaken thus far the video does not belong to a group of Malaysian students as alleged," it said.

       Russia invaded Ukraine more than a week ago, with fierce fighting and bombing around the country, with many fatalities.

       Malaysians remaining in Ukraine who require consular assistance can contact Malaysian Embassy in Warsaw, Poland through their email (mwwarsaw@kln.gov.my) and hotlines (+48223759930/ +48226174413 and 24-hour line +48660627360).
