A 19-year-old from Southampton - allegedly carrying an offensive weapon - triggered the alarms around 8.30am, within moments of entering the historic site where the Queen is spending the festive season. He did not enter any buildings and the Royal Family was kept up to date, Thames Valley Police said. The security breach occurred two hours before Prince Charles, Camilla, and other members of the Royal Family attended morning service at St George's Chapel inside the castle walls at 10.45am.
