Prominent royals will give their recollections of the Duke of Edinburgh for the BBC programme, due to be broadcast in September. A preview released by the BBC includes clips from Prince William, Prince Harry, Zara Tindall and Prince Charles.
Harry, wearing a crisp white shirt, commented: “What you see is what you got with my grandfather, he was unapologetically him.”
Speaking just before him, William said: “He's always been a huge presence behind everything we're done really.”
Zara Tindall, Princess Anne’s daughter, added: “You never really prepare yourself for losing him because he was always there.”
Prince Charles is the final royal to speak in the trailer.
Referring to his father Britain’s future king said: “We were lucky to have him for nearly 100 years.”
The tribute will be broadcast on September 22, on BBC One.
According to the BBC it will provide a “unique portrait” into Prince Philip as a person.
All four of the Duke’s children are expected to appear in the programme.
Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, along with Peter Philips, will also take part.
Prince Philip passed away on April 9, aged 99, at Windsor Castle.
His funeral was held at the castle’s St George’s Chapel, but with a reduced attendance due to coronavirus restrictions.
