PUTRAJAYA: The police have confirmed that incidents of empty vaccination doses are not linked to a vaccine-selling syndicate, says Khairy Jamaluddin (pic).

       The National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme coordinating minister said that to date, only 13 police reports have been made out of the 16 million vaccine doses administered in Malaysia.

       “Nevertheless, we take all the reports and allegations made. I want to assure the public that they should be vaccinated with the right doses,” he said on Friday (July 23).

       Khairy said that of the 13 police reports received, most of them were false and inconclusive.

       On the incident which occurred in Sungai Petani in Kedah, the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme coordinating minister said the nurse involved had admitted to negligence.

       “This is the only case where negligence on the part of the vaccinator had occurred and the reason given was due to exhaustion,” he said.

       Khairy added that the nurse has since been issued a warning by the Chief of Army as the incident had occurred in an army facility.
