Covid vaccine map: Astounding map reveals areas with highest vaccination rates - DATA

       Coronavirus vaccines have been given to more than 45 million people in total since the UK vaccine programme began. Of those vaccinated 33 million people have also received a second dose so far. Express.co.uk has analysed the latest Government data to explain which areas of England are vaccinating people at the fastest and slowest rates.

       According to data compiled by NHS England, the East of England has vaccinated the highest percent of its population with one dose of the vaccine so far.

       Based on population size determined by 2011 Census data, the East of England had vaccinated 75.51 percent with at least one vaccine dose by June 27.

       The South West had the second-highest number of first dose vaccinations, followed by the North East and Yorkshire - with 75.21 and 72.53 percent of each population respectively.

       Conversely, London had the lowest percent of its population vaccinated with one dose compared to all other areas of England.

       London had vaccinated 64.23 percent of its population with one vaccine dose by June 27.

       In percentage terms, the North West was second to last with 65.65 percent and the Midlands was third to last with 68.38 percent.

       The South-East was right in the middle having vaccinated 70.1 percent of its population with at least one dose so far.

       According to data compiled by NHS England, the South West of England has vaccinated the highest percent of its population with two doses of the vaccine so far.

       Based on population size determined by 2011 Census data, the South West had fully vaccinated 56.61 percent.

       The East of England had the second-highest number of second dose vaccinations, followed by the North East and Yorkshire - with 56.12 and 55.02 percent of each population respectively.

       Conversely, London had the lowest percent of its population vaccinated with both doses compared to all other areas of England.

       London had vaccinated 41.76 percent of its population with a second vaccine dose by June 27.

       In percentage terms, the North West was second to last with 49.13 percent and the Midlands was third to last with 51.82 percent.

       The South-East had fully vaccinated 51.86 percent of its population as of June 27.

       The vaccination data compiled by NHS England also highlights the areas with the highest percentage of vaccinations for each age group.
