Police later identified the victim as Malcolm Johnson, 27, of Southeast. The suspect, Rondez Tibbs, 26, of no fixed address, was charged with felony murder, according to police.

It was not immediately clear if he had an attorney.

In another incident, a man was shot around 9:45 p.m. Wednesday in the 2500 block of Elvans Road SE near the Suitland Parkway in the Barry Farm area. His name was not immediately released, pending notification of his family.
