Two men were killed Wednesday — one stabbed and one shot — in separate incidents in Prince George’s County.

       Local police said one of the incidents happened around 9:45 p.m. in the 6600 block of District Heights Parkway near Walker Mill Road in the District Heights area. Officers arrived and found a man outside who had been stabbed several times.

       Another slaying occurred in the 2500 block of Darel Drive near Suitland Road in the Suitland-Silver Hill area, police said. When officers arrived, they found a man outside who had been shot several times.

       Both men were pronounced dead at the scenes. Their deaths are not linked, police said, and the victims’ names were not immediately released pending the notification of their families.

       Prince George’s County has seen an increase in homicides this year.
