Two people died Sunday in separate traffic incidents in Maryland, one in a crash on the Clara Barton Parkway and another while riding a scooter in Prince George’s County, police said.
One man died early Sunday after a three-vehicle collision on the Clara Barton Parkway in Montgomery County near the D.C. line, authorities said.

U.S. Park Police said they responded to the collision around 4:20 a.m. The man, whose name was not released, died from his injuries, and another person was taken to a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
A third person was medically evaluated but declined to be taken to a hospital, said Pete Piringer, spokesman for Montgomery County Fire and Rescue. He said rescuers found one vehicle off the road.

The parkway was closed in the area until midmorning Sunday, park police said. Authorities did not provide further details about the collision.
In another incident, around noon Sunday, a person riding a scooter was fatally struck by a pickup truck in Hyattsville, Prince George’s police said. They said the victim was a male but did not release his name and age. He was pronounced dead at the scene, at 23rd Avenue and East-West Highway, police said.
The pickup driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators, police said.
