Sir Keir Starmer has held his Holborn and St Pancras seat on a night Labour has romped home with a landslide across the country.
The Labour leader hailed victory after winning his London safe seat with a much decreased majority of 16,000, after winning the seat with 64.5 percent of the vote at the last General Election.

His nearest rival was independent left-wing candidate Andrew Feinstein, who won 7,312 votes. Speaking after his re-election, Sir Keir hailed the success of democracy, saying "change begins in this community".

He promised: "Whether you voted for me or not, I will serve every person in this constituency".
