TANGKAK: A 25-year-old man was killed after losing control of his vehicle and crashed into the left side of the road at KM7 Jalan Muar-Tangkak, here.

       Tangkak OCPD Supt Roslan Mohd Talib said that the incident occurred at 2.10am on Thursday (March 14) when the victim was heading towards Bukit Kangkar.

       “Initial investigations revealed that the victim had lost control of his vehicle and drove into the bushes on the left side of the road.

       “The victim suffered a serious injury to the head and was pronounced dead at the location,” he said in a statement.

       Those who have information on the case are urged to come forward to help with the investigation, he added.

       Meanwhile, in an unrelated case, a 15-year-old boy was killed after crashing his motorcycle into a car at Jalan Kempas Baru in Johor Baru.

       Johor Baru North OCPD Asst Comm Balveer Singh said that the incident occurred at 12.25am on Wednesday (March 13) when the victim, along with his pillion rider, failed to evade a car that was making a turn at an intersection.

       “The victims have crashed their motorcycle into the left side of the vehicle.

       “The impact caused the rider to suffer a serious injury to the head and was pronounced dead at the location, while the pillion rider suffered a broken right leg,” he said, adding that the driver was unharmed.

       Both cases are being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road and Transport Act 1987.
