SIBU: A 44-year old woman has been sentenced to seven months' jail by a Magistrate's Court here after she pleaded guilty to a charge of solicitation on Monday (May 23).

       Tatik Wahyuni, from Central Jawa, Indonesia was charged under Section 372B of the Penal Code which provides for a jail sentence up to one year, or a fine, or both upon conviction.

       According to the charge sheet, the accused had offered sexual services for RM60 to a 34-year-old local man at about 4.30pm on May 19 in a hotel on Jalan Pulau.

       When a police team entered the room, they found both the accused and the man naked.

       They also found a box of condoms, with one removed, and RM60 in cash.
