SEREMBAN: The water supply to several areas here has been disrupted due to power supply problems at the Ngoi-ngoi treatment plant.
Syarikat Air Negri Sembilan (Sains) public affairs head Norzita Ismail said Tenaga Nasional personnel were already carrying our remedial works at the facility and added that the water supply would be fully restored as soon as possible.
"We have started sending treated water using our lorries to the affected places, especially those located in hilly areas like in Broga. Sains will do its best to help the affected residents," she said in a statement.
Other affected areas are Lenggeng, Mantin, Pajam, Kuarters KLIA, Kg Jijan, Kg Kubang, Kg Bukit Kadir, Nilai Perdana and its surrounding areas.
Norzita also said that the water supply to several areas in Port Dickson was also affected due to the reduced production of treated water at the Sungai Linggi facility.
She said Sains was currently carrying out clean-up works at the raw water intake point and added that the supply would also be fully restored soon.
"The water level at Sungai Linggi had increased and this had affected quality. The plant is now running at 80% capacity and we will continue to monitor the situation," she said, adding that supply would also be sent to affected areas using its lorries.
Areas experiencing a disruption or lower water pressure include Jalan Sua Betong, Batu 1 to Batu 6 Jalan Pantai and parts of Port Dickson and Lukut, Bandar Springhill, Simpang Bukit Palong, Chuah and Bukit Pelandok.
Norzita said consumers can call Sains at 1800 88 6982 or check its website at www.sainswater.com for the latest updates.
