PETALING JAYA: Veteran radio deejay Patrick Teoh has apologised to Pharmaniaga Bhd for making several allegations against it on his Facebook page last month, the company stated.

It said the company was made aware of the misleading allegations by Teoh on his personal account on July 22. It said that the allegations brought disrepute to the company.

Teoh took down his post and made an apology following an engagement with the company.

The pharmaceutical company said it acknowledged his apology.

“Although we respect differences of opinions, we do not tolerate slander and false allegations,” Pharmaniaga said in a statement yesterday.

It said it would not hesitate to take legal action against anyone who continued to malign the reputation and integrity of the company.

“Let us all be responsible Malaysian citizens. Be very careful when making or sharing unverified comments to avoid misinformation,” the statement read.

Teoh made an unconditional apology to Pharmaniaga on his Facebook page on Monday, saying that there was no foundation to the allegations made in his original post.

In his post last month, Teoh alleged that Pharmaniaga would be selling 14 million doses of the Sinovac vaccine to interested states and private companies from July to September.
